Our story

Every jar has a name behind it

Jhalok was born in Shyamnagar, on the edge of the Sundarbans. The people here have collected honey, golpata sap and forest fruit for generations — but their work rarely reaches you with their name on it.

We work directly with these gatherers, pay them fairly, and tell their story on every pack. When you buy Jhalok, you know exactly where your food came from and who brought it to you.
